White Boxes
White Boxes
White boxes are made from naturally kraft brown liners and go through a bleaching process. Converting the kraft liners to white boxes requires a bleaching process which gives the box a mottled white appearance. The market demands mostly kraft boxes, but many customers feel white boxes enhance the printability and appearance of the package. There are different shades of white boxes, namely mottled white corrugated which they are referred to on the east coast. White #3 or White #1 seems to be the name derived on the west coast and refer to different grade white boxes. The brightness can differ due to the concentration of the bleaching process and if the fibers are virgin or recycled. Most commonly a white corrugated box is usually only white on one side; however there are some applications when the customer demands both the inside and the outside of the box be white. Packagewarehouse.com stocks over 30 different sizes of white boxes. If you can’t find your size, call or send us an email. We will be glad to forward a quotation.
White boxes lend a certain appeal and style to shipping boxes. White offers a clean fresh look that is unlike a kraft box. Printing on white corrugated boxes makes colors standout against the bright white background. Mailing boxes and corrugated mailers are both stocked in white and are featured in many different sizes. Chipboard Boxes or paperboard boxes are different than corrugated boxes and are not to be used as a shipping box. Paperboard packaging accounts for many types of small white boxes, such as… gift boxes, jewelry boxes, stationary boxes, paper boxes, garment boxes, bin boxes, soap boxes, bakery boxes, wedding card boxes, treat boxes, candy boxes and various other types of boxes. Paperboard is classified in several types of descriptions and is made from both virgin fiber and recycled paperboard. Paperboard is an important medium for making paper boxes and folding cartons. Solid Bleached Sulfate or SBS is a premium bending chip that is the ideal surface for printing. A good majority of your retail packaging is manufactured from chipboard also known as bending chip.
